Mindful Eating

Looking For Companies Wanting a Weight Loss Program

Did I tell you the exciting news?

Kim Hiatt, PhD - my partner and I have been working our

Each week you will receive a weight loss audio to sent to you so you don't have to do a thing, plus naturally thin weight loss tips throughout the week. We know how hard it is to keep motivated, so that's why we are sending both emails audios and emails out to keep you on track and engaged!

Part#3: The third component is coaching. Each month, Kim and I will offer you non-diet weight loss coaching focused on answering your questions, concerns, or challenges. You get us live and get your questions answered.

Diets Continue to Suck

I read an article today that continues to reinforce my conviction that diets suck! Most of this article was boring and depressing, but what I really liked about it is the notion that when your mind starts to become hyperfocused on a certain food item, fighting it does absolutely no good.

In this article called Fat-Salt-Sugar Fix Impossible to Resist, Gabriella Boston of The Washington Times states "Our brains start encoding everything about the hyperpalatable food - say a chocolate-chip cookie - so that the next time we see or think about a chocolate-chip cookie, we almost can hear the crinkle of the cellophane wrap, feel the crunch of the first bite between our teeth and taste the intense explosion of chocolate, fat and sugar. The easiest way to get rid of the anxiety is just to give in and eat the cookie, because if we don't, the multisensory anticipation probably will linger and fester, although giving in has its own set of negative consequences, including feelings of failure."

When you focus on what you desire in combination with paying attention to your hunger
and satisfaction cues, you never have to go through the highs and lows of eating. There's never a sense that you should "go on" a diet or calorie restriction program.

Remember, listen to your body. It's what the thin do, and it's what you should do too! It's biological not accidental that the naturally thin stay connected and honor their bodies during
summer picnics, during sad times and during celebrations. Stay connected and you stay thin!

Is Fear Keeping You From Attaining Your Goals

Whenever I see someone who is NOT moving toward their body goals, someone who tells me they want to see a shift, but the results continue to stay the same - it is almost always fear that is holding her back.

Fear of what?

Fear of success is one of the biggest that I tend to see.

I know it seems crazy. You want to see results so what would success hold you back. Well, hundreds of people I’ve seen over the years worry how looking amazing will impact their marriage or the reactions they will receive from others when they begin to look drop-dead-gorgeous. Staying with the known is far less intimidating then the potential to be the gorgeous person you desire.

But the reality is: When you begin to change your body, most people notice and make a comment and then move on with their day. Most people are so busy doing what they're doing that they don't really give it too much thought. Your partner may feel a bit shaken up to your new routine, but he’ll get used to it and the sex will be incredible. When you walk into a room at a party you’ll fee confident, sexy and powerful. Oh, and your work life will change too. When you feel fantastic about yourself, you better believe you’ll be more successful and work – and more success means more money!

Regardless of how fearful you are of making your body beautiful - the most important concept you must understand is that if you can be thin AND feel safe and comfortable in your skin. Choose thin thoughts this summer and you’ll be choosing to move past our fears. I once was fearful that people wouldn’t think I was thin enough because I wasn’t a size 2. I don't limit myself because of someone else's opinion. Neither should YOU.

If you want to attain a thinner body, if you want an improved your physique or figure, if you want to go for a walk, start running hills or shifting your self talk - this is what YOU want. Don't EVER let anyone distract you from what you want and where you are going. You are the one who decides. No one else.
