Changing Negative Self-Talk to Lose Weight and Feel Great

Anyone who knows me knows that when I talk about my coaching and the work I do, I get really passionate and happy. I LOVE coaching! Just love it!!!

Over the past year, I've had a very nice and full practice and the clients that
I now have, are some of my favorite clients of all time.

Well lately, many of my clients have been focusing not so much on weight, but
more on their self-talk and the results have been astounding!

Here are some fun mental shifting that will have long-lasting results:

1. Imagine not worrying about your weight. Just loving your body for what it does, where it is in this world, and what it has been through. Imagine negativity for your body no longer being an option.

2. I'm sure you've heard that whatever you focus on, expands. This is absolutely true for your body. If you focus on having to lose weight, you will continue to live in the land of depression. You will become more isolated and you will have less joy with your body.

Just think about it. If you focus on the annoying dishes that your husband left out from the night before, and then you notice what he didn't do in the bathroom, what he should have done in the garage, etc. the irritation will grow. If however, you just put the dishes away or ask to have them put away, it's done. No more focusing and no more irritation.

The more irritated you are with wanting a flat belly, the more you will focus on how
it's not flat and it will probably even get bigger. What about just placing your hands on your belly and saying "thank you belly for storing all these organs.” “Thank you stomach for allowing me to grow and carry children (if you have them).” “Thank you belly for digesting food and signaling hunger when it’s time for me to eat."

Commit to ONLY paying attention to when your belly is looking better and commenting on those times.

3. Stop making excuses like genetics, thyroid (that's one I've personally been using and I must stop NOW), slow metabolism, or anything else that you've used to feel negative about your body. Don't choose to allow your mind to play into that negative self talk that leaves you feeling fat, ugly or empty.

When you choose to take your mind to a beautiful place around your body, you will see your body and life transform. You will improve your confidence, enjoy power positive and powerful relationships, you will engage in activities you forgot you enjoyed and your life will be more fulfilled.

Do not underestimate the power of your mind in transforming your body. Start today!
All I can tell you is that my clients are my inspiration. They are feeling better, happier, seeing their bodies change and life shift all over the place. This works when you work with your mind!

The Power of Two

Have you ever attended a seminar that was so good you just wanted everyone in your life to know about it? Well I did, and I have to tell you about it.

It has nothing to do with weight, body issues, slimming down, and it definitely has nothing to do with me.

It has to do your relationships.

How is your primary relationship going? How is your marriage? On a scale from 1-10 would you say it’s close to a 9 or 10?

I attended a seminar online with my husband that was so technologically advanced and fun, we both loved it. It’s called the Power of Two.

The whole idea in this 4-week seminar is toprovide couples with skills to communicate beautifully. I have to say, my husband and I went into this seminar having incredible communication, but this exploded our relationship to new levels by giving us very simple and executable skills that we could immediately use to enhance our marriage.

Each course was so much fun! They were not intimidating, and we never had to divulge any personal information; it really wasn’tabout that. It was a wonderful and positive interactive experienceled by a Psychologist who knew her stuff and made this process fun, interactive and extremely effective.

If your partnership, relationship, or marriage is fantastic, you should still sign up- it will be
even better. If your partnership, relationship, or marriage needs some work, you should run to sign up.

The Power of Two was developed by a Psychologist who kept seeing over and over in her practice that couples just didn't know how to communicate. She found that when they used this
specific set of skills, many of their marrital challenges dissolved.

You will gain incredible communication skills to forge ahead in a powerful and loving fashion together.

I’ve taken a ton of seminars, but this was by far one of my favorites. I’m not a big fan of learning theories but never receiving applicable information. In this seminar, my husband and I were given real skills to improve areas of our communication that we didn’t even know we needed.

The ultimate goal in life is not power, money or success. The ultimate goal in life is peace of mind. My marriage is one area where I have total peace of mind, which is what I hope for you as well.

I promise you, you will enjoy this seminar, and I think they even have a guarantee if you don’t.

Are You Misreading Your Cravings

Today I’d like to explore what happens when cravings become problematicand what to do about it.

We all have food cravings here and there. It’s quite normal and most of the time,it’s your body letting you know what type of food you need to keep you living and looking your best. Some cravings however lead to overeating and bingeing.

Today I’d like to help you identify when a craving is just a craving, or when you should watch out for something else at play.

1. The first type of craving is a typical craving. This craving is when you check in with your body and you are hungry. As part of being hungry you crave protein, carbohydrates, sugar or a combination of these. You then prepare your meal and choose to the food based on what type of food you crave. When your meal ends, you are left satisfied and comfortable; not thinking much of the meal and able to carry on with your day.

2. The second type what I call unstoppable food cravings, which are more compulsive in nature. This type of craving is one you can’t seem to walk away from – it’s a force to be reckoned with. This, my friend, is something I want you to be aware of. This type of craving will add loads of pounds to your body and will confuse your natural food signals. It’s your body’s way of saying “when you give me this food, there’s something within my biochemistry right now that won’t let me stop eating it until it’s completely gone. This is more of an addiction or food allergy that you need to deal with. If for example you can’t seem to rip your hands away from ice cream, then one or two bites will never just do the trick. Then, for the time being, ice cream is off your list of items you should consume for a little while.

I too have this issue and it’s with sugar. There are times where I crave sugar so much that I know it’s not “normal”, it’s not a simple “I would like to have sugar” it’s a “I have to have it”, which signals me to know I’m in the danger zone. When this happens, I just take a few weeks and cut back on my sugar intake to neutralize my body, and slowly begin tointroduce sugar back into my diet. Our bodies are spectacular and they deliver such precise information when you know what to listen for. Tune into your body. If there is something out of balance giving you unstoppable food cravings – that’s information for you. It’s your body telling you there is something out of whack. Fix it, and move on.

If you’d like to discover your own body in more detail , I’d love to coach you into balance, health and youth. I have a few slots available, so if those times work, just fill out this quick form and we can find a time on Friday or Monday to get you in for coaching. 3 Characteristics To Permanent Weight Loss

3 Key Ingredients For Long-Term Weight Loss

Almost every single day, I tell my husband or someone close to me, just howmuch I love coaching people. I love what I do so much, that if I had all the money in the world, I would still coach people to transform their bodies and lives.

One of the most miraculous events I observe as a coach is witnessing the externaland internal transformation people enjoy as they find love for themselves, joy for their shape, and the new found pride for who they are.

In looking at my clients who really seem to thrive, there are three characteristics that they ALL share. These are all things you can employ in your life to make your slimmingefforts even more effective:

1. Transformational self-talk.
Most new clients come to me with a war raging within their minds. A fierce battle of fat thoughts, self-loathing words, and painful messaging that seem to keep them locked in. Not all clients face negative self-talk, but majority do.Shifting negative self-talk to more positive chatter, is a must for my clients and it must be something you start working on. You can’t succeed long-term if your internal world is angry and self-destructive. You’ve got to work on your self-talk immediately. You’ve got to have a plan as to what to do each time you say something negative. Turning your thoughts around is essential or your weight will be regained. With practice, your positive thoughts will help you to transform your body. They go hand in-hand.

2. Dedication
Clients who soar, dedicate their time and focus toward slimming down. It’s not just something they “kinda-sorta” want to do, it’s something they just “Do”. The ultra-successful understand that their extra weight is keeping them from enjoying too many life gifts, which is making a massive impact of their quality of life. This helps them to make slimming down one of their top priorities. Dedication makes for success and avoids disappointment. Where’s your dedication right now. Have you been playing the “I want to slim down” record in your mind, but haven’t really done much about it, or are you focused each and every day to thinking, living and acting thin.

3. Have Fun
Clients seeing slam-dunk results have fun. Together, we laugh, we cry, we share and we create a bond that’s tight and so much fun. It’s fun to have the freedomto eat all the foods you desire, it’s fun to honor your body and it’s fun to get to thebottom of what’s been eating you. It may not be fun every second of your transformation, but by-in-large if you keep a positive attitude alive and well, you will forge ahead like a champ seeing awesome results. Having fun makes this journey one to be enjoyed forever.

If you’d like to get a taste of how fun coaching can be, I’d love to share talkwith you in person about how coaching works. I have a few slots available on Monday and Friday. So if those times work, just fill out this quick form and we can find a time on Friday or Monday to get you in for coaching. My coaching rates are $185 - $320 per month, so they are quite reasonable. Click here to sign up: http://www.thinwithin.com/coaching.htm

If you’d like a less expensive option, I have two additional ways you can receive coaching. If you become a http://www.thinwithinu.com/ member, I offer one group coachingsession each month or you can enjoy a six-hour, six-week audio program at http://www.thinwithin.com/droponesize.htm for $97. Is Looking Good Looking Enough, Really Enough?

Yesterday I felt really inspired to go workout, which I do at leisure here and there. I enjoyed some weights and then did the elliptical machine and scurried home to watch the Bachelorette, which I taped (Yeah, don't make fun of me for watching it, it's trashy but I'm a sucker for the show).

I had an ah-ha moment that you may be able to relate to...

Sometimes I settle for looking good enough, being successful enough or working out just enough, without really tasting how amazing super sexy feels, super successful is, a super sweaty workout can be. If I'm going to waste my brainpower on having goals, I want to have goals that are spectacular, that are amazing, and that are ridiculously fantastic!!!!!

I found that as I've gone from my mid 20's to mid 30's, I've sometimes been too easy on myself. I've been so lucky to fall into a career I love and find success in my work, yet sometimes I take my life for granted. I don't push beyond my limits. I don't wake up earlier to inspire hundreds of more people each day. I don't offer as many seminars as I could. I workout in comfort versus pushing my body a smidge harder each time - so my results are 'eh...average. I've just allowed moderate success part of who I am...UM, NO!!!!

I don't want my husband and me to be "moderate" or "average". I want us to be spectacular!!! I want us to live this life in a big and magnificent fashion. We deserve to and so do you.

What is spectacular living for you? Share with me, inspire me and let me know! Spectacular living for me is:

*Waking up early - meditating and going for a brisk walk, jog, or hitting the gym with an even stronger workout than the day before. Pushing myself to see all that I am and all that I can be.

*Inspiring thousands more men and women to through tough love to live thin from within, to honor their bodies - and to drop weight by doing the work it takes to think, eat and live thin.

*To eat in a way that continues to honor my body. Lots of colors, lots of beauty, lots of delicious foods.

*Spending money on beautiful clothes, beautiful makeup, beautiful hair products, taking care of my body and my skin so it glows beyond where I've been.

*Stand tall, walk with confidence and use my mind to explode my success, my body results and my life.

*Stand in gratitude for my continued success, each and every one of you that I hear from each and every day, each client I have the privilege to coach, and all the gifts in my life. What about you?

Where are you just settling? Where are you saying okay is good enough? Share with me!

Is Life Really Better Once You Are Thinner?

Summer always used to be my goal season for my body.

By June or July I longed to have lost all my winter weight, with the hope of looking fantastic, to be able to lay out by the pool, and to wear cute summer tanks and capri pants.

Yet summer would come and my weight may be higher or lower, yet either way I wouldn’t wear capri pants, I wouldn’t lay by the pool and my hopes of having my dream summer were squashed. Another summer came and went where I felt self conscious by the pool.

Yuck!

Do you think my summers were magical after I lost weight? NOPE. Not at all. Once I slimmed down, there’s no question that I felt better in a bikini, enjoyed capris and shorts, and felt better overall, yet my mind still wasn’t happy with how I looked. I still felt self-conscious and I still avoided what I call “thin activities” like tubing down the river in your swimsuit, rafting, biking and whatever else I made up in my mind about what “thin activities” I should avoid because I was still too fat to enjoy them.

Do you think that everything will be better once you fit into a smaller size, wear the bikini you’ve been too embarrassed to wear for the past six years, or finally get down intothat oh-so-desirable pant size? I’m not going to lie, life is better, but it’s not perfect. While working on yourself to slim down, you must also work on your mind. See, if you don’t like yourself very much now, you still won’t like yourself when you’re thinner.

I see this happen thousands of times in my practice. Clients lose 20 pounds and then focus on the next 20. Even though they dropped 2-3 sizes, they want the three sizes below where they are now. Still unhappy, still frustrated, still not practicing self-love.Let me tell you the biggest secrets to permanent weight loss. This is big.Ready?

The biggest secret to permanent weight loss is finding beauty within yourself now. Finding beauty and celebrating how beautiful you are is a practice. Just the way filing your nails is a practice. If you let your nails get too long, they’d look all dirty and ragged and ugly. The same is true with your self esteem and body esteem. If you don’t nurture yourself and your body, your self-esteem gets all ragged, your sense of self gets all ugly.

Here are two things you can begin doing today:

1. Begin wearing a rubber band around your wrist. Every time you think something negative about yourself, slap the rubber band, as if to say “snap out of that kind of talk” and then replace the comment you made with a kinder more loving statement.

2. Write down all the things you think will improve when you slim down. Write a whole list with a new topic on each line. Once you’ve done that, look at your list see what you can powerfully shift right now, without waiting for your “better” you when you slim down. For example: if you think it would be so great to wear tank tops, start wearing them! If you have yet to buy yourself new summer stylish clothes because you don’t want to go shopping until you are 10 pounds lighter. Stop it! You are coming from a lack perspective. It’s as though you’re punishing yourself for who you are today. I guarantee that this won’t create a happy and thin you if you continue thinking in that fashion. Go out and get yourself some wonderful and stylish summer clothes now. It’s a good time too – everything’s on sale after the forth of July.

You deserve the best NOW, please don’t wait. We all know that life is too short, so start living and taking action. Don’t let some extra pounds keep you from living. If it’s keeping you from living a happy and joyous life, you may want to consider hiring me as your coach, so we can blast through any negativity.

Much of what I’ve spoken about can be enjoyed in great length with my 6-hour audio course, Attract a Thin You. Don't think that you can’t slim down by harnessing skills of law of attraction, the be-do-have principle or conquering self-defeating behaviors with the power of your mind.

Lately I've been really enjoying posting my hunger chart at ThinWithinU.com. It's pretty amazing what you learn about yourself. You should join me and see what you think about checking in daily and posting how you're doing.

Here are the things I'm learning about myself:

1. I've seen how I love to feel hunger and always eat when I'm hungry.

2. I've noticed that unlike naturally thin people, my eyes usually don't want to stop. I just love food so much and I love eating. I have to definitely make a focused effort to slow down my eating and hang out for a bit to feel satisfied. If I don't, I'll just keep eating.

3. I've noticed that I've been eating out a lot and I like the balance of eating out and also eating at home. I really love a fresh bowl of strawberries or steamed broccoli in my steamer or salmon.

4. Mixing food up is so fun. I like thinking about food in colors. I like to have a fun variety of colors. I notice when I eat out - well at least the food that I eat, doesn't have the same vibrant colors as whel I eat at home. I like a lot of colors. For example, if I have a bagel and cream cheese and go out and have a hamburger or pizza, it's all kind of the same color. If, on the other hand I go and have a bagel and creem cheese and then later make some broccoli, strawberries and grilled salmon....so much color!

5. I notice I really get hooked on coffee quickly and I love it. I usually don't have more than a half cup or cup every day or every other day. It seems however that when I have coffee, my skin seems to break out more. Do you notice that? I heard lemon and apple cider vinegar is supposed to be great for you skin. The vinegar can be stinky if you use it and go to bed with someone else...ha!

6. I notice that when I track my hunger, I'm so much more aware. Come track with me on ThinWithinU.

7. I notice I'm the happiest when I'm working with clients and doing this work. That's just a side note, but something I've definitely noticed. I love us all working together to slim down, feel beautiful and love our bodies.
